A bit about me
Growing up, I always adored dolls. As the sole child at home, my dolls became my closest companions. When I was in my early teens, my grandma started crafting porcelain dolls and ran that business for 37 years, so the presence of dolls among adults felt natural to me. Their intricate features and delicate attire never failed to fascinate me, sparking a lifelong passion for doll-crafting.
I started my BJD collection back in 2011, all because of a colleague who would frequently bring her charming dolls to the office, sparking my interest in creating outfits for them. Initially, I had declared I would only get a single doll, perhaps one in each size at most. However, as evidenced by the photo below, my collection quickly multiplied beyond my original intentions.
I am also a neuro-divergent, disabled maker. Despite the challenges of chronic pain and fatigue, I find joy in creating a diverse range of items. These obstacles do not dampen my enthusiasm for pursuing my passion through my craft.
